Thank you to the many, many who attended and enjoyed the work we had on view.

This Blue Marble: The Universe of Josh Simpson - a retrospective of the reknowned and innovative glass artist at MCLA Gallery 51. Now we're floating in a most peculiar way. DAS oversaw the installation.

Dream Home - a site-specific installation at IS183 Art School of the Berkshires. This elaborate sculptural installation is the product of a month-long Citizens' Hall Residency the artists undertook at the school. It will be on view through March 29, 2013. Thanks to all who attended the October 3rd opening reception.

Imagining North Adams - a group show at Gallery 107 in, you guessed it, North Adams. In the words of curator Jennifer Krouse, the show was "a festival of images, idea and initiatives with a place making mission. Through artwork and participatory events, the festival invites participants to imagine North Adams as a 'canvas for our daily lives.'”

The Phylogeny Projects: North Adams School? - a group show Branch Gallery, North Adams that dared to ask: is there such a thing as a North Adams School? How does the narrative of North Adams hang over the heads (or inform the work) of artists in this tiny post-industrial city? Co-curated with Derek Parker and Anne Roecklein.

Beijing, China - a month-long artist residency at the fabulous Red Gate.

Letterpress/Printmaking Marathon - an art jam weekend we co-organized with PRESS Gallery in North Adams, culminating in a benefit exhibition of work created during the marathon.

2011

The Little People From Here, in tandem with The Art of Dissent - The magical work of Claire Fox shows alongside woodcuts from the ASARO Collective of Oaxaca, Mexico. At Grass Gallery, a DAS pop-up venue.

Second Annual Bascom Lodge Drawing Marathon, Mt. Greylock, Adams, MA. From 8 PM to 8 AM at a secluded lodge on the peak of the highest mountain in Massachusetts. Open to the public.

End of an Empire - A juried survey of anti-war art. This exhibition garnered an enthusiastic public response with its critique of United States military policy since the end of the Cold War in 1991. At Grass Gallery, a DAS pop-up venue.

The North Adams Downtown Makeover – a fragment of the 2010 show re-appeared at Bureau for Open Culture, Mass MoCA, North Adams, MA

2010

The North Adams Downtown Makeover - in which we re-envisioned the physical space of North Adams, currently an accumulation of ill-advised "urban renewal" decisions, as the ideal of a very small city.
